When I took an abstract art class several years ago, the instructor told us not to waste our paint but to add it to a canvas. That is how this piece started. Whatever leftover paint I had, I randomly added it to the canvas. Over a period of months, the paint kept building until I realized I liked what I was unconsciously creating. It was a canvas I used for not only extra paint, but to play. Sometimes I painted with my opposite hand, etc. When I realized I liked what I was seeing, I added some mediums for texture, a few lines of ink, some gold fabric paint, etc., until I got to the finished piece you see here. I like it so much I wasn't going to sell it, but I'm extremely curious if this "Random Act of Color" will appeal to someone else as much as it appeals to me.
The canvas is 12x12. It comes with a black frame which makes the total size 14x14."
