This quote is by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. (1881 – 1955)
According to Wikipedia, he was a French Jesuit priest, scientist, philosopher and teacher. He was Darwinian in outlook and the author of several influential theological and philosophical books. He has been described as "perhaps the man most responsible for the spiritualization of evolution." Pope Francis has made positive comments on some of his ideas.
This quote speaks to me. I genuinely believe that it is true. No matter what your religion is or what you do or don't believe, historically humans have always looked to something greater than themselves for guidance and hope. I think our bodies are temples for our souls, and this quote captures that belief.
Note: I am extremely open minded. I do not judge others for what they believe or don't believe as long as that belief doesn't involve hurting someone else. I would never try to make someone believe what I do. My whole business is about Light and Love.
Namaste (Also according to Wikipedia, "The sacred in me recognizes the sacred in you.")
