Joseph Cambell is responsible for this famous quote. The full quote is: "I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.”
Joseph Campbell was a famous teacher of mythology, and George Lucas was an avid admirer of Campbell's writings, and used them as a direct reference in his creation of Star Wars.
A few notes about how this piece was made (besides the musical notes behind the word, "BLISS:" The background is an old sewing pattern. The letters, BLISS, were done in Photoshop, and each one was created from a picture of a flower. The post mark and stamp are not reproductions - they really are from 1948. The dictionary definition behind "Follow your" is for the word, "Follow."
