Who hasn't dreamed of putting on a cape and tiara and saving the world?
“Fairly Certain” is a playful, colorful mixed-media artwork celebrating imagination, confidence, and the belief that we can do amazing things.
This piece is 16" x 20" x 7/8" on art board with an extra inch for the black float frame.
The girl is made of pottery. I made the cape and added a gold diadem to her forehead.
The sparkly pieces are mica which is a crystal found in granite.
The background was done with abstract paint.
The quotation's words were cut with a Cricut cutting machine.
The butterfly and dragonfly are 3D and made from modeling paste and papers I made using a gelli plate. The body of the butterfly is the word, "save," cut from an old dictionary. The body of the dragonfly is the word, "world."
