People Will Remember

This piece is 20 x 16 on birch wood cradleboard.

I love this quote from Maya Angelou.  Everything she said was filled with wisdom.

The ground in this piece is made from glass beads, so it has a lot of texture.

The tree body was made from paper.  While I was experimenting with how to draw the tree body, I used the pinkish paper, thinking it was fine to waste it.  But then I found that I really liked the color with the green leaves.  The leaves were made with acrylic paint.

The swirls were made with fabric paint.  Fabric paint provides a great 3D effect.
