This piece is the result of an artist call for works with the theme heritage. I used to consider myself a survivor of trauma. Then my boyfriend pointed out that I am a thriver. So my artist statement for submission to the heritage show was, "Heritage: Transform from survivor into thriver."
All elements are 3D and made from modeling paste.
The dictionary definition pages for "survivor" and "thriver" are included and circled in black on the top left and bottom left.
The size is 16" x 20" by 1" on art board.
