What If You Fly in a Black Float Frame

“There is freedom waiting for you on the breezes of the sky. And you ask, ‘What if I fall?’ Oh, but my Darling, what if you fly?”

This is my favorite quote that I've used to create a piece.  Erin Hanson's poetry speaks to me and is beautiful.  Whoever she is addressing (probably herself) is afraid to take flight, but the question, "What if You Fly?" makes me feel fearless and reminds me to take the leap, embrace possibility, and trust my own wings.

The flowers and hawk are 3D, made with modeling paste.  

This piece is 16 x 20 x .75" on birch wood cradle board.  It sits in a black floating frame.  The total size with the frame is 17.5" x 21.5."
